Reaching the Desk
SportsHighLight is run by a small editorial team, and every message goes to a person rather than a ticketing queue. There are two addresses, and using the right one gets you a faster answer.
Editorial, Tips and Corrections
[email protected] is the main inbox. Use it for:
- Corrections. Put CORRECTION in the subject line, link the article, quote the sentence you are disputing, and point us at the source that shows the right figure. Corrections handled this way are usually live within one business day.
- Story tips. A game we missed, a run nobody is writing about, a stat that does not add up.
- Quote and attribution queries. If you are an athlete, coach, club or representative and believe we mis-sourced a quote or clipped one in a way that changed its meaning, tell us and we will check it against the original recording or transcript.
- Media, footage and image rights. Rights holders who believe material has been used outside the terms of a license or an official embed should include the URL of our page and identify the specific asset. The Editorial Policy explains how we handle sports media.
- Advertising and commercial questions. Same address, subject line ADVERTISING.
Privacy and Data Requests
Anything involving your personal data goes to [email protected]: access, deletion, correction, objecting to processing, withdrawing consent, or opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Those requests are handled under the Privacy Policy, which also sets out the deadlines we work to and what we need in order to verify a request.
Sending a privacy request to the editorial address slows it down, because it has to be forwarded before the clock starts.
Response Times
Corrections: usually the same or next business day. General editorial mail: within three business days. Rights and legal matters: within five business days. Privacy requests: acknowledged within ten days and answered inside the period the applicable law allows, which is one month in the EEA and the United Kingdom and forty-five days in California.
What We Cannot Do
We do not pass messages to athletes, agents or clubs, and we cannot arrange interviews on your behalf. We do not settle arguments about disputed scores from years ago, and we do not answer questions about odds, wagers, fantasy lineups or individual training and nutrition plans. Those limits are explained in the Disclaimer.
We also do not publish unsolicited guest articles or paid link placements, and messages offering them are deleted unread.
