The right channel makes a difference. Pick the one that matches your message — we’ll see it faster and route it correctly the first time.
Story tips and news leads
If you have a tip about something we should be covering — a stat you’ve seen, a quiet trend that hasn’t been written about, an unreported angle on a story already in the news — send it to [email protected].
Include: a one-line summary, why you think it matters, any links or data you can share, and how we should attribute the tip (named, anonymized, off-the-record). We don’t promise to publish every tip and we don’t pay for them, but every tip is read and considered, and good ones change our calendar.
Corrections
If you’ve spotted a factual error — a wrong stat, a misattributed quote, a player on the wrong team, a season confused with another — email [email protected] with the article URL, the sentence in question, and the correct information (a source link makes it faster).
Material corrections are made promptly and noted at the bottom of the article with the date the correction was made and a brief description of what changed. Minor typos and link rot are fixed silently. The full correction protocol lives in our Editorial Policy.
Editorial pitches and writer submissions
SportsHighLight occasionally accepts pitches from writers we don’t already work with. If you’d like to pitch a piece, email [email protected]. Include: a 2–3 sentence pitch, the proposed beat (NFL, NBA, Soccer, College Football, WNBA, Methods, Newsroom), 2–3 representative clips or writing samples, and your preferred byline.
What we look for: a specific argument or insight (not a generic explainer), a beat we’re under-covering, a writer who can defend their analysis with sourcing. We don’t accept SEO-driven listicles, sponsored content, or pieces produced primarily by generative AI. Response time is typically 7–14 days. A non-response after 14 days means we’re passing.
Partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising
For brand partnerships, sponsorship inquiries, and direct advertising deals, email [email protected]. Include: company name, the product or campaign, target audience, timeline, and budget range.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage, and we do not allow advertisers to influence what we cover or how we cover it. Where a relationship could create the appearance of bias, we disclose it on the article itself per our Editorial Policy.
Press, interviews, and media requests
For interview requests, conference appearances, podcast bookings, or quoting our reporting in your own outlet, email [email protected]. Include the outlet, the format, the angle, and your deadline. Our editors and writers are generally happy to speak about analytics, sports media, and the craft of writing about both.
Privacy, data, and legal requests
For privacy requests under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or comparable laws — access, deletion, correction, opt-out — email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy request” and identify the jurisdiction whose law you are invoking. Verified requests are answered within 30 days. The full procedure is documented in our Privacy Policy.
For DMCA copyright notices, see Section 8 of our Terms and Conditions for the required content. Send notices to the same address with the subject “DMCA notice.”
General inquiries
Anything else — reader questions, methodology questions, kind notes, link suggestions, “I disagree, here’s why” rebuttals — email [email protected]. We read everything that lands here, even if we don’t always respond to each message individually.
Response time
Most editorial inquiries are answered within 2–3 business days. Corrections are typically actioned within 24 hours of verification. Privacy requests are answered within 30 days. Partnership inquiries may take longer during major-event coverage windows (NFL playoffs, NBA Finals, World Cup, March Madness, WNBA Finals).
